Support Home Operators

What is a Support Home Operator (SHO)?

A Support Home Operator is a homeowner who is willing to welcome and invite a client into their place of residence as a temporary home environment while at the same time providing ongoing care for a client. Simply put, the client will live with a SHO in their home and act as a new addition to the family.

How does a SHO differ from other caregiver roles?

SHOs are one of many ways CarePros is changing the way care is delivered in this industry. We believe in creating and fostering meaningful and health relationships with our clients. SHOs offer clients a second home away from home where they may thrive and achieve positive outcomes. By living together, the SHO can get to know the client on a deeper level and develop a close relationship that would otherwise be difficult to do. Through this dynamic, the SHO can also provide mentorship and guidance to clients who may be seeking such leadership in life.

What are the benefits of becoming a SHO?

Depending on your schedule and availability, a SHO can earn anywhere from a competitive hourly wage up to a full-time salary with benefits with CarePros. Once part of the CarePros team, SHOs will now also have access to all the training sessions, events, and career growth opportunities CarePros has to offer.

Additionally, because the client lives with the SHO, they can provide ongoing care while going about their daily lives, essentially making the position an ongoing work from home opportunity.

How do I become a SHO?

In order to become a SHO, you must meet several requirements and conditions set forth by CarePros. Once you submit your application, our team will review it to ensure that we create perfect matches with our clients.
