Founder & President
Charles Wong is the Founder and President of CarePros. Charles started the business in 2017 when he recognized that there was a gap in quality home care for our most vulnerable populations in the Greater Edmonton Area. Over the last two-plus years, CarePros has been officially recognized and approved by the Gov’t of Alberta as a Qualified Service Provider within Disability Services, providing 400,000+ hours of respite to hundreds of families with children and youth with disabilities, as well as supporting Children’s Services Child Intervention Group with complex group home care. Charles’s vision is to extend CarePros services throughout Alberta and beyond in order to provide these much-needed supports to many more families.
Prior to establishing CarePros, Charles was with Restaurant Brands International, Tim Hortons Canada where he held management roles in Field Operations and Development. Charles was selected by the Senior Leadership Team and President of Tim Hortons Canada to lead the rollout and launch of the new Tim Hortons ‘Welcome Image’, a $700MM nation-wide remodel across 400+ restaurants; this successfully executed project was recognized by the Board as a marquee 2018 initiative and achievement.
Previously, Charles spent the last 10 years holding various management roles in an array of industries including Healthcare, Technology, Retail, Private Equity, Quick Service Restaurant, and Not-for-Profit.
In 2020, Charles received the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction’s Young Entrepreneur Award, as well as being nominated for Avenue Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40.
Charles received his Master of Business Administration degree (with distinction) from the Ivey Business School and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree (with distinction) from the University of Alberta.
