Zahra Warsame

Zahra is a Supervisor of Service Delivery at CarePros. She joined CarePros quickly after graduating from the University of Alberta in fall 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. After being with the company for 6 months she was promoted from a coordinator position to her current supervisor role. Zahra is passionate about caring for Individuals with complex needs, and is always willing to offer support to the families CarePros serve. Zahra has a long history of working with Individuals with intellectual disability and is passionate about providing individualized and culturally competent care. Zahra has worked as a care worker for a family for over 8 years where she focused on building on the individual’s strengths through positive behaviour supports and assisted in helping them establish life skills to prepare them for adulthood and independent living. Previously, Zahra worked as a youth worker with her local community where she planned and organized a summer school program for elementary and junior high students in partnership with The Africa Center. Along with the summer school program she was also one of the lead organizers for the 9th annual Tooso camp, which was a 4 5 day camp consisting of over 150 youth. In her free time, Zahra enjoys hiking and spending time with family and friends and living an active lifestyle.
