Crisis Intervention Worker
Chalice is CarePros’ first Crisis Intervention Worker. She joined the CarePros’ team in October 2020 and is passionate about helping children with disabilities reach their full potential and increase their quality of life. As someone who needed care in her youth, Chalice dedicated her life to providing the type of youth care she needed when she was younger.
Chalice is responsible for responding and assisting CarePro team and clients in a crisis related to behavioural or mental health concerns. Chalice is consistently assessing situations, identifying required needs, and providing necessary education and training to CarePros’ Care Professionals.
On the weekends, Chalice also works as our On-Call for when staff and family require scheduling adjustments. She works closely with the Service Delivery Supervisors to ensure consistency and growth to those who need it.
Prior to joining CarePros, Chalice worked in a group home and family support services for 6 years while working as an Interventionist for multiple schools in New Brunswick. She also attended a mission trip to Haiti and volunteered at the local homeless shelter.
Chalice graduated from Oulton College where she received her education in Child and Youth Care where she learned to navigate the complexity of issues such as traumatic youth.
In her spare time, Chalice enjoys hanging out with her family and destroying them at board games. You can always find her with a book in hand and coffee in the other.
