Boardwalk Sand on Whyte
June 28 @ 10:00 am - July 7 @ 10:00 pmAdmission is by Donation
Boardwalk Sand on Whyte is back in Old Strathcona this summer with More Than a Feeling. Seven sand carvings, created by professional sand carving artists, explore the emotions of Love, Joy, Pride, Hope, Fear, Stress and Vanity.
Sand carving is performance art, much like ice carving. Professional sand carving artists, Peter Vogelaar from Winlaw, BC and Guy-Olivier Deveau from Quebec City, QC, transform sand from the Burnco Plant near Wabamun into sand carving masterpieces for you to enjoy.
The Boardwalk Stage presents Live Music by local artists on June 29 & 30 and July 1, 6 & 7 and Storytelling by the Strathcona Library on July 2, 3 & 4 at 12:30 pm.
Enjoy tasty treats by Ohana Donuts on June 28 & 29 and Blue Giraffe Creamery on July 5, 6, and 7.
